‘Economic and Conservational Benefits’ of Trophy Hunting
Last year, government set a trophy hunting quota for wild animals such as black rhinos, leopards and elephants. Hunters can apply for a licence to hunt animals for wall trophies.
Dries Van Coller, consulting Executive Officer at the Professional Hunter’s Association of South Africa weighs in.
I have a friend in Canada with a strong passion for Africa and it’s people. He recently made a documentary on how trophy hunting actually enhances conservation. A very powerful video. If Suco would be interested can ask him to make it available so you can send it to the right people in the UK before the sitting of the house of Lords on 16 June.
